I keep meaning to go back and write more about this day…but life in the “real” world has been keeping me occupied. As soon as I can I plan to write a couple of reflections on the trail. The blog isn’t over yet, but on a brief pause.
In the meantime, here are some pictures of one of the happiest days of my life! Thanks for following my travels!

Congratulations. Glacier Park is one of the most beautiful in the US. I visited it several times way way back. I can see I need to do it again. Enjoy your well deserved rest and continue to enjoy life. I loved following your trip.

Congratulations!! Thank you so much for sharing your adventure with us!
My husband and I (while we didn’t post until now) followed every step of your journey. We are typically day hikers, but you (and many of your compatriots) have really inspired us, and in August we completed our first multi-day backpacking trip together. We are already dreaming of future hikes and adventures, and plan to complete a JMT thru-hike in the next couple of years.
Please keep us posted on your future plans. 🙂 We are excited to see what you do next!
Happy trails!

Hi and thank you so much! It’s fun to know that people were following my journey as I continued to blog about it. I’m thrilled to hear that you were inspired to go do a multi day trip!! You have to start somewhere, and believe me, it only gets more addictive! You will absolutely love the JMT!
I plan to hike the PNT next summer and am working on some follow up blogs from this hike! Stay tuned and keep on hiking!
Best,
DB
